Tramway reopens

We reopen the Tramway on Sunday 8th January. We are open every Sunday 12-4pm.

32nd Birthday Event
Open 10am - 5pm

We celebrate 32 years of operation with all serviceable trams operating. Highlights include
- trams operating from 10.30am
- 3 car service from 12.30pm
- photo opportunities at Middleton Rd and Whitegate 1.15pm-2.15pm
- 3 car service until 4pm
- Driver for a tenner opportunity. Please contact to book.

Queen's Diamond Jubilee

Trams running on Monday and Tuesday. Blackpool 623 will be decorated for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1952. Stockport 5 will be decorated in honour of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

Festival of Model Tramways

The Museum of Transport at Boyle St is host to the popular event. The tramway will be operating from 11am-5pm and a heritage bus service should operate between the museums. Further details here.

Trans Lancs Rally

Heaton Park once again is the venue for the annual Trans Lancs Transport Show. Modern and vintage buses, cars and lorries are on display. A free bus service links the park to the Museum of Transport. Tramway operating 10 - 5pm. There will be model trams and sales in the depot. All available trams in service. Further details here.

We are holding a ticket-only photo charter, with photo opportunities through the day and into the evening. Further details will be released nearer the time.

Tribute to the Blackpool Brush Car

Open 10am - 6pm

We are celebrating 75 years of service of the Blackpool Brush Cars. 623 will be in service through the day. Subject to availability we are hoping to have a visiting tram for the event. There will be a display of model Brush railcoaches in all scales and a display of the history of this classic tramcar. We will also have a display of other vehicles made by Brush. There will be a limited number of 'driver for a tenner' places (tram to be confirmed). Trams will be operating at dusk.
