Celeberating 50 years since the Manchester Transport Museum Society (The operators of the Heaton Park Tramway) was formed.

Precise details to be confirmed but we usually know how to celebrate......
 9th April    Locals Day

Do you live in any of the following postcodes. M25, M45, M24, M8, M9, M40, M4, M3, M7?
On the 9th April we are opening our trams up to any of the postcodes above that border the park, just bring along a utility bill etc with your address on it show it to our crews on the tram and then sit back and enjoy a free tram ride through the beautiful surroundings of Heaton Park.  15,16,17th April    Eggstram Special Easter

Bring your young ones to Heaton Park to have an Eggcellent time riding the tram, hunting for easter egg clues and some Easter colouring.

Volunteer Taster Day

Ever considered being a volunteer on the tramway but not sure what to expect or what role you would like, come along and spend the day us and get a better idea. (Places must be booked in advance) for more details see our news page or facebook event at
28th & 29th May   Family Fun Day

Bring your children along and treat them to a tram ride and our clue hunt ( all fare paying children eligible) find the clues and spell out the mystery word to win a prize
Once your done on the tram itself come and try out our pocket money side shows.

18th June
TDADE's Driver for a Father

Why not treat you father to a present with a difference by booking him one of our Driver for a Father TDadE's.
This year on Fathers day we will be offering a short taster tram driving experiences for £10 giving all fathers the chance to gain an introduction to tram driving alongside one of our instructors.
 2nd July    Tramtastic Day Out

A tramtatstic day out with something for everyone to enjoy all over the park. Further details to follow.

 8th & 9th July    Race for Life

The annual race for life takes place in Heaton Park this weekend and in order to show our support for the efforts of all the participants we are offering them a free tram ride when they show their medals.
For all other passengers the tramway will be operating a service.
 3rd September    Trans Lancs Vehicle Show

The Annual Trans Lancs Vehicle rally takes place in Heaton Park this Sunday with vintage buses cars and a variety of other vehicles on display organised by our friendds at the Manchester Museum of Transport.
We plan to support this by operating at least three trams in service all day.
